Consecration of Mor Chrysostomos Markose

Wednesday, 12th July 06, morning, Their Graces Mor Theodosios Mathews, Mor Aphrem Mathews and Mor Osthatheos Pathros concelebrated the Holy Qurbono at the St. Aphrem Chapel of the St. Aphrem the Syrian Monastery in Ma'arrat Seydnaya, Damascus, Syria. During the Holy Qurbono, as authorised by His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, The Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, the Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, The Catholicos of India His Beatitude Aboon Mor Baselios Thomas I ordained Rev. Fr. Jacob Markose of the Evangelistic Association of the East as a Rabban (Monk) with the name "Markose". Their Graces Metropolitans Mor Dionysius Behnam Jajawi, Mor Athanasios Geevargis, Mor Theodosios Mathews, Mor Aphrem Mathews, Mor Osthatheos Pathros Mor Eusebios Kuriakose and Mor Coorilos Geevarghese assisted His Beatitude in the Ordination Service. 

On 14 July 2006 morning, His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, the Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church celebrated Holy Qurbono at the St. Aphrem Chapel of the St. Aphrem the Syrian Monastery, Ma'arrat Seydnaya, Damascus, Syria, and during the Holy Qurbono consecrated Very Rev. Ramban Markose Pallath as Metropolitan with the name, "Mor Chrysostomos". His Beatitude Catholicos Mor Baselios Thomas I of India and Their Graces Metropolitans Mor Gregorios Yuhanna Ibrahim of Aleppo, Mor Gregorios Joseph the Secretary of the Holy Regional Episcopal Synod in India, Mor Athanasios Geevargis the Patriarchal Vicar for Indian Affairs, Mor Athanasius Elia Bahi the Patriarchal Assistant, Mor Theodosios Mathews of  Kollam, Mor Aphrem Mathews of the High Range Region of Ankamaly, Mor Osthatheos Pathros of the Greater India Archdiocese (Outside Kerala), Mor Eusebios Kuriakose of Thrissur and Mor Coorilos Geevarghese of Niranam assisted His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East in this blessed consecration service. 

After the Holy Qurbono and the Episcopal Consecration Service, His Holiness the Patriarch granted Sustaticons (Letters of Appointment)To the five Metropolitans who were recently consecrated by His Beatitude Catholicos Mor Baselios Thomas I in India as well as to His Grace Mor Chrysostomos Markose. His Grace Mor Theodosios Mathews has been appointed the Assistant Metropolitan of the Diocese of Kollam, His Grace Mor Aphrem Mathews the Assistant Metropolitan of the High Range Region of the Diocese of Ankamaly, His Grace Mor Osthatheos Pathros the Assistant Metropolitan of the Archdiocese of Greater India (Outside Kerala), His Grace Mor Eusebios Kuriakose the Assistant Metropolitan of the Diocese of Thrissur, His Grace Mor Coorilos Geevarghese the Assistant Metropolitan of Niranam and His Grace Mor Chrysostomos Markose the Assistant Metropolitan of the Evangelistic Association of the East with headquarters in Kerala, India.
