The 27th anniversary of Patriarchal enthronement of His Holiness Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, the Patriarch of Antioch &
all the East, Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Syriac Orthodox
Church was held at Damascus, Syria on 14 September 2007.
The thanksgiving Holy Qurbono and other services were held at the St. Peter & St. Paul Cathedral in
the Mor Ephrem Monastery, Ma`arat Sayyidnaya, near Damascus. The Patriarch H.H. Zakka
I was the chief celebrant and
Patriarchal Vicariate of Adiyaman Mor Gregorios Malke Urek, Patriarchal
Vicariate of Great Britain Mor Athanasius Touma Dakkama, and Patriarchal
Vicariate of Netherlands Mor Polycarpus Eugene Aydin were the co-celebrants of the Holy
Qurbono along with Patriarchal
Vicar for Indian affairs Mor Athanasius Geevarghese, Malankara Synod Secretary Mor Gregorios Joseph,
resident Metropolitan of the M.S.O.T Seminary & the Europe Diocese Mor Theophilos Kuriakose and 28 metropolitans of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church.
